Description

Cherith Brook, located in KC's historic Northeast neighborhood, stands in the long history of the Catholic Worker movement, which embodies the themes of peace, social justice, and agrarianism (farming).  In addition to their bi-weekly shower ministry and weekly meal for people living on KC's streets, Cherith Brooks operates a small farmstead on their property that includes fruit trees, vegetables, and chickens.  We need an army of strong Rockhurst Hawks on Saturday, April 11th to perk up their farmstead for another summer season of growing and harvesting!  Please note the following:

1) meet at Arrupe Circle at 10:40am for an 10:45am departure to Cherith Brook (3226 E 12th St, Kansas City, MO 64127).  Plan to return to campus around 2:15pm.

2) wear grubby clothes and boots or rugged/close-toed shoes.

3) BYO water bottle and sack lunch.

4) Let Bill Kriege (bill.kriege@rockhurst.edu) know if you can drive and provide a ride for others.
