Respond to the Cry of the Earth and KC's historic and present environmental justice issues by participating in this clean-up of Brush Creek! Led by students of Dr. Allen's biology course and in partnership with the Missouri Department of Conservation and KC Parks & Rec, students will clean trash from the banks of Brush Creek and paddle canoes onto the creek to access hard-to-reach garbage. Please note:
- A van will depart Arrupe circle at 1:20pm. Plan to return by 5:00pm.
- Gathering/canoe-launch/food will occur at the Mary Williams-Neal Community Center at 3801 Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd., KC, MO 64130. Parking and access to bathrooms will be available.
- Wear grubby clothes and boots or rugged/close-toed shoes.
- Food will be served, so come hungry!
