Do you want to help keep pets fed and families supported right here in Kansas City!? Come be a part of our Pet Food Pantry Volunteer Team.
Pet Resource Center of Kansas City (PRCKC) hosts a Pet Food Pantry twice each month (one Saturday and one Monday) to provide pet food and basic supplies to families in our community who may be struggling financially.
This program supports low-income pet owners and helps ensure that pets can stay healthy, cared for, and at home with the people who love them.
What You'll Do as a Pet Food Pantry Volunteer:
This is a completely volunteer-led initiative, and volunteers make this program possible by helping with:
- Checking clients in as they arrive
- Preparing pet food, pantry donations, and supplies
- Distributing pet food to pantry clients
- Offering a friendly, welcoming presence
Why This Matters:
This is a meaningful, direct way to serve your Kansas City neighbors while supporting pets and the people who care for them. Every bag of food makes a difference!
Volunteer Requirements:
- Open to individuals or small groups (up to about 5 people -- reserve spots in advance, as they are limited and fill up quickly)
- Great for students, service organizations, or anyone wanting to give back
