Our pet program is back and we need certified Pet Handlers and pets.
If you would like to be a Pet Handler please contact Volunteer Services.
· 18 years of age
· Pet Handlers and pets must meet all hospital and KCPetsforlife requirements
· Attend volunteer orientation
· First pet visit scheduled as a team
· Be friendly, relaxed, confident and interact positively with staff and patients
· Understanding typical animal behaviors particularly your pet and how to identify signs of pet
stress, aggression or any discomfort on the pet visits
· Follow and adhere to hospital policy and procedure
· Set or flexible schedule for visits
· Opportunity available downtown and Lakewood locations
