RU VOICES for Justice
VOICES for Justice is Rockhurst University's social justice group founded in 2002.
We attend the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice in Washington D.C!
To raise awareness on campus of social justice issues and activities through speakers, training, and service.
To better the community by increasing our own awareness and understanding of issues in current events impacting the Kansas City area, US, and the world.
To promote social and political dialogue and action once awareness is reached within the Organization and on the Rockhurst Campus.
To exemplify our core value of Contemplation in Action by being “agents of transformation especially in the areas of social justice and equality”. Furthermore we seek to “foster openness and curiosity about all things new and different and to foster a spirit of trust, hopefulness, collegiality, and dialogue.”
