Truman Habitat is looking for two self driven, reliable, and hardworking candidates for our Construction Crew Leader- Habitat for Humanity National AmeriCorps position.

Candidates must have a valid drivers license in Missouri, a High School Diploma or proof that they have started their GED. AmeriCorps members will receive a living allowance and a Segal Education Award at the completion of their hours.

Benefits of AmeriCorps service

Living allowance of $18,700 for approximately 10 ½ months of service.Segal Education Award of $7,395, upon successful completion of service (lifetime maximum of two full education awards).Forbearance for most federally-guaranteed student loans.Health care benefits and enrollment in Employee Assistance Plan.Personal and medical leave — approximately 10 days total.Personal and professional development opportunities.Child care benefits, if you qualify.Worker’s compensation insurance.

Volunteer: Lee's Summit ReStore Volunteer

Volunteer at the ReStore Seeking volunteers who can come weekly or on a regular basis Especially appreciated skills: lifting and carrying, pricing, knowledge of building materials, excellent customer service

We are looking for people with warm, welcoming friendly smiles to assist our ReStore customers. Volunteers also help with sorting, cleaning, and organizing donated materials; lifting and maintaining merchandise; receiving donations. The shifts are for roughly four hours Tuesday through Saturday. 

Minimum age, 14.  Those age 14-16 need an adult to volunteer with them.  Those under 18 need a waiver signed by a parent guardian.

All volunteers must attend orientation-please call the ReStore to schedule.
