On Saturday, September 3 at 9:00am - 12:00pm, Heartland Conservation Alliance will be leading a group of volunteers in removing invasive bush honeysuckle at Alex George Wetland. HCA will provide some gloves and tools. Training will also be provided at the beginning of the workday.

Please note: this workday will have a cap of 30 volunteers. Once we reach 30 we will close the registration.


Alex George Wetland is located at 10831 Blue River Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131. We will meet at the picnic tables. There is parking available near the park.

Please dress in long pants and wear close-toed shoes are required to maintain safety, and bring water. Registration will begin at 8:30am.

In order to maintain a COVID-safe event, we request that you wear a mask if you are not vaccinated. If you are experiencing Covid symptoms or feel sick, please stay home.
