Looking for those with weekday availability to help our trained construction staff with home projects for Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity. Experience helpful. This will be a small group or individual opportunity to help our construction staff with repair, rehab, and build projects.
Help families move into their new Habitat Homes and Homeowners keep their homes by building, rehabbing, and repairing homes. Learn new skills or share your skills.
The tasks vary from week to week - anything from framing walls to installing doorknobs. Specific job site locations vary but are all in Eastern Jackson County.
All of our volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. Youth age 16-17 must be supervised by responsible adults at a ratio of not less than one adult over the age of 21 for every four youth.
We require everyone to wear closed-toed shoes and ask for appropriate clothing (please consider the weather and work conditions). No tools are needed, just a willingness to learn new skills and to volunteer.
