Qualifications:

Must have a driver’s license-class E for Missouri residents or a standard Kansas driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from CBC. • Willing to learn and use a tablet/smartphone for our delivery scanning program • Must be able to successfully pass a background screening and Motor  Vehicle Record check. • Ability to lift 35 lbs., follow directions and adhere to a schedule. • Excellent customer service skills.

Looking for a flexible volunteer opportunity with adventure? Come join our Mobile Pick-Up Team, where you will be travelling to mobile blood drives, picking up packaged blood products, and returning them to the Kansas City center for processing. We provide the vehicle and fuel - you bring dedication, reliability and a big smile! A fun and flexible opportunity, this opportunity is great for those with busy schedules, but still looking to serve.

Qualifications:

Available weekday afternoons • Driver’s license-Class E for Missouri residents or a standard Kansas Driver’s license. • Able to successfully pass a background screening and Motor Vehicle  Record check. • Ability to lift 35 lbs. • Excellent customer service skills. • Ability to follow directions, adapt to changes, and adhere to a  schedule.

This assignment is seeking volunteers who are movers and shakers to deliver blood products to our local hospitals in Kansas City from 8am-11:30am on weekdays. Provide excellent customer service to donors by distributing snacks, providing friendly conversation, thanking donors for their service, and observing donors for negative reactions.

Location: Olathe Donor Center

Opportunities for Friday, Saturday, and Sundays from 9 am - 1 pm.

• Escort donors to the canteen area.
• Assist donors to the ground to the event of fainting.
• Provide snacks and drinks to donors post-donation.
• Observe for early signs of negative reactions and notify staff for
  treatment.
• Keep all tabletops and serving areas clean.
• Complete required training as assigned.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by center staff (shredding, stocking
  supplies, filing, folding blankets, etc.)
• Follow-dress code and code of conduct.
• Follow all Community Blood Center policies, regulations, and quality
  standards.
• Agree to and demonstrate the CBC mission, values and code of conduct.
• Keep all tabletops and serving areas clean.

  greeting/thanking them.
• Provide snacks and drinks to donors post-donation.
• Observe for early signs of negative reactions and notify staff for
  treatment.
• Keep all tabletops and serving areas clean.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by center staff (shredding, stocking
  supplies, filing, folding blankets, etc.)

Help us spread the word about the importance of blood donations and their life-saving impact on critically ill patients. In this role, you will be answering questions about blood donation, educating possible donors, and encouraging people to sign up for upcoming drives in their area.
