Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City
Did you know that there are 13,000 families in the Kansas City community in need of affordable housing? Habitat KC, founded in 1979, has built and renovated over 850 homes in the Kansas City community. By 2024, we have committed to investing $20 million into affordable housing solutions in Kansas City for 5,044 partner families. By volunteering with Habitat KC, you make a tangible difference in the lives of the members of your community!
Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City strives for a world where everyone has a safe, decent, affordable place to live. We carry out that mission through building and renovating homes for our Affordable Homeownership Program, financial literacy coaching in our HOPE program and Home Preservation Projects. We also divert new and gently used building supplies and home goods from landfills by selling them at a discounted rate in our ReStores; 100% of funds raised from those sales go towards affordable housing solutions.
